Orders ship the following Monday (or Tuesday if Monday is a US holiday). This prevents chocolate from sitting in a warehouse over the weekend. Orders must be placed by midnight the day prior.
Bar & Cocoa subscriptions ship on the first Monday of every month (or Tuesday if Monday happens to be a US holiday). Deliveries to US destinations should always be received the same week. If you sign up after the 25th of any month, you will not receive your first box until the 2nd month.

Bar & Cocoa currently uses USPS Priority Mail. USPS guarantees delivery to anywhere in the United States within 3 days, but most subscribers receive their package within 2 days. Bar & Cocoa is not responsible for delays resulting from mishandling by the shipping carrier. We reserve the right to change shipping methods at any time and without notice.
Bar & Cocoa utilizes different types of packaging depending on the time of year to best protect the chocolate bars during shipping. We review temperatures at the origin, destination and everywhere in between to determine the most effective packaging. We make every attempt to reduce packaging material and use recycled/recyclable materials whenever possible. We do ask our subscribers to keep an eye out on delivery days and to bring in your package of delicious chocolate as soon as possible.
We want you to make sure your chocolate arrives in perfect condition, however mailing chocolate in hot weather comes with risk. If for whatever reason you get a package with melted chocolate, send us a picture of the melt to firstname.lastname@example.org within 24 hours of arrival. We will either refund your money, or replace your chocolate (depending on stock), or in the case of a subscription, add a free month - your choice!
Unfortunately, we do not accept returns. Chocolates are not refundable, however if you are unhappy for any reason, please email email@example.com or call (843) 732-4350 and we'll do what we can to make it right.
